I'm not musical at all. Will I really be able to play it?
Yes. Every note is in the same scale, so nothing you play will clash. Start by tapping slowly and letting each note ring, then follow the numbers in the First Songs book. Hot Cross Buns uses just three notes.
How loud is it?
It's a soft, room-sized sound, gentler than most people expect. Mallets give a clear ring and fingertips are softer still. It's made for a living room, not a stage.
What age is it for?
Children from 3 up can play it with a grown-up nearby, and adults of any age. It contains small parts, so it isn't suitable for children under 3.
Which size should I choose?
The Classic (8 inches, 11 notes) suits most homes. The Little (6 inches, 8 notes) is light and easy to hold, good for small hands and travel. The Grand (10 inches, 13 notes) has the most notes and the largest surface for playing together.
